GLAM's first San Francisco Gay Pride
GLAM performed June 27, 2006 at the Pride Concert "We Are What We Are." Also performing were the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus and the Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco, both supporters of GLAM.
GLAM performed on the main pride stage on June 28, 2006.
GLAM marched in the parade on June 29th, 2006.
GLAM went international
GLAM was invited to Vancouver, Canada, to perform with the world's first gay, lesbian and allied youth choir, GLASS, at their 5th Anniversary Concert on June 2, 2006. GLASS (Gay, Lesbian And Supportive) Youth Choir inspired the formation of GLAM Youth Choir last year when they visited San Francisco for the Pride concert.
GLAM's first performance
GLAM performed May 6, 2006 at the WOAH (Workshops Organized Against Homophobia) Queer & Allied Youth conference in Pittsburg, CA, for an audience of about 60 people. We sang, "Make Your Own Kind of Music." GLAM got a very enthusiastic response from the crowd, and several new singers joined!
August 26th and August 27th GLAM founded
Inspired by three of North America’s already established queer youth choruses and a choir for homeless adults in Australia, a group of arts and non-profit professionals began planning in early 2005 to form a queer youth chorus based in San Francisco.
2006 San Francisco
Gay Pride Parade
GLAM danced and sang with other GALA Choruses of the Bay Area. GLAM also performed on the main stage during the weekend's festivities.
